Assassin's Creed Reveals Bizarre Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.
The mission centers on "strange trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an unique katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also brings the game's third complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma." This playful adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic techniques: Naoe introduces a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns.
