Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global break, however can the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.
For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's new album, Knees Up, is available on Friday.
Football and Parenting Life
Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.
"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he said.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a period too.
"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Forecasts
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this fixture will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's sole on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.
So, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.
My son told me to get Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.
They have not had great success on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be rather close. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.
They have got lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.
Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month.
But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
