Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The renowned video game developer died after his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
